Control the WINS Refresh Period (Windows 95/98/Me) Category: Home > Network > Protocols > WINS
This setting control the initial WINS refresh timeout value. Open your registry and find the key below. Create a new string value (or DWORD value for Windows 95) called "InitialRefreshT.O." and set it to equal the timeout in milliseconds. The minimum and default timeout is 960,000 milliseconds (approx 16 minutes) and the maximum is 4,294,967,295 milliseconds (approx 50 days). Restart Windows for the change to take effect.
